Health Benefits:

Carrot juice is particularly rich in the phytochemical beta carotene and phenolic compounds which have been studied for their anti-tumour, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-carcinogenic and anti-aging properties, useful in aiding prevention of many diseases.  Carrots have also been studied for their role in protecting against diabetes, cardiovascular disease, liver disease and aiding wound healing. Carotenes lutein and zeaxanthin are powerful antioxidants in carrots that protect both eye and brain health.

Apple juice contains antioxidant polyphenols and pectin which can act as natural anti-inflammatories and have been studied for their benefits in many diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, asthma, cardiovascular disease (lowering triglycerides and cholesterol), type 2 diabetes and colorectal cancer, through their beneficial effects on gut bacteria balance.  Apples are also a rich source of quercetin, a natural anti-histamine and may support immune health and energy production.

Beetroot has been studied in both health and sports science for boosting nitric oxide levels which may increase energy, muscle recovery, blood flow, lower blood pressure and increase mental strength. It contains powerful anti-inflammatory compounds and betalains, phytonutrients that help with liver detoxification.

Lemons have natural antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which make them great for all-round disease prevention. Their strong vitamin C content promotes healthy skin, immune health and the body’s absorption of iron. Lemon juice is commonly used to support digestion, regulate stomach acid and heart burn.

Ginger has a long history of use as a traditional remedy for ailments such as colds, nausea, arthritis, migraines and hypertension. It is used by herbalists as a warming spice to boost digestion and circulation and has a soothing effect on the stomach. Ginger is particularly high in anti-inflammatory compounds studied to reduce pain, swelling and inflammation and aid motility in joints and muscles. Its antioxidant properties are reported to have anti-aging affects and help protect against a wide range of diseases.
