We have put them through a HPP (High Pressure Process) which helps to make them shelf stable while keeping the vitamin and mineral content as it should be.
Nutritional, vitamin and mineral content:
Cucumber contains molybdenum, vitamins K and B5 and is a strong source of phytonutrients. Kale is a particularly strong source of vitamin K and also contains vitamins A, C, B6, copper, calcium, manganese and a good variety of antioxidants. Courgette also contains antioxidants and is a similarly good source of copper and manganese. Lemons are super rich in vitamin C, bioflavonoids, limonene and potassium. Coriander is rich in a variety of phytonutrients including terpenoids, flavonoids and phenolic compounds. It also contains vitamins K, A and C.
Cucumber contains natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant phytonutrients, particularly flavonoids and tannins which are effective at blocking free radicals and may reduce the risk of chronic disease. It also contains fisetin, an exciting phytonutrient compound that’s been studied for its risk reduction in relation to certain types of cancer and its positive effects on blood sugar regulation.
Kale is one of the most nutrient-dense foods and these nutrients are retained and used well by the body once juiced. Its B vitamin, iron and copper content supports the body’s metabolism and energy production. Calcium and vitamin C support collagen and bone formation whilst the vitamin C, lutein and zeaxanthin in kale can protect eye health. The vitamins A and K in kale juice support healthy blood cell production and the immune system. It also contains quercetin, a natural anti-histamine.
Courgette has similar health benefits to kale in relation to eye and bone health thanks to its nutrient profile. In combination with cucumber and kale, their vitamin A content can support healthy mucous membranes, needed to help protect the respiratory system from inhaled infections and disease.
Lemons have natural antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which make them great for all-round disease prevention. Their strong vitamin C content promotes healthy skin, immune health and the body’s absorption of iron. Lemon juice is commonly used to support digestion, regulate stomach acid and heart burn.
Coriander leaf juice is rich in antioxidants, one of which, linolenic acid, has been studied for its cell-protective effects, particularly in relation to UVB aging of the skin. The plant is a great source of terpenoids, their protective effects being linked to supporting liver health, preventing diabetes and fighting inflammation. Like kale, it contains the natural anti-histamine quercetin. Coriander leaf is known for its soothing effect, calming both digestion and anxiety. It is also used to detoxify heavy metals by binding to them and aiding their excretion from the body.
